MY STORY

Marcelo Acosta is a young aspiring filmmaker in his senior year at The University of Northern Iowa. CELO created CELOSTUDIOS to provide a space for all creatives and artist to collaborate on the art form of cinema.

I’ve always felt like I was a creative person. Growing up, I was constantly inspired by music videos and films, which pushed me toward this kind of work.

But I didn’t fully understand who I was or what I wanted to do until I got to college. At first, I felt like I was just following the same path as everyone else. Over time, I connected with people who showed me that this path—this creative path—was actually possible.

Since then, I’ve learned to say yes to every opportunity, whether it leads to success or failure. To me, failure just means I took the chance and tried and that’s what keeps me growing.
